Our wax-friendly wonderwash, Born to be Mild, has been a toast of the detailing community since its launch, and not only helped us win an HSBC Start-Up Stars Green Award, but also grabbed the title of Detailing World Wash Product in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 at launch! So what makes it so good? Well, after applying a protective coating, you want to preserve it – rather than remove it – when you wash your car. Born to be Mild is a pH-neutral formula designed to be kind to waxes and sealants… but tough on dirt and grime. It also contains limescale inhibitors to help soften wash water. This doesn’t mean a completely spotless wash, but it does improve the situation and is a real bonus in hard water areas.
This maintenance shampoo also has good foaming properties for a silky smooth lather and is extremely slick to the touch, helping to lubricate dirt and prevent it scratching during a contact wash.
Furthermore, it can be used on matt finishes without issue and on glass without smearing (because it’s free from wax and silicone/glaze oils), it uses only the highest quality ingredients (including biodegradable surfactants and those limescale inhibitors) and, most importantly, it has a dilution ratio as high as 1:800 (about four times higher than average ‘high street’ car shampoos). This means you may only need a quarter as much in the bucket, making it surprisingly economical.
A legend among car shampoos. If you’ve only ever used the usual ‘big brand’ or valeter spec washes, make it a mission to see what you’ve been missing.
